Mountains, Lakes, and Evergreens, Oh My!

What does an engaged couple do while visiting the Colorado mountains? Take epic engagement photos, of course! I met Sara and Micah for their engagement session at Sapphire Point. They had flown in from Illinois that day, but were camera ready and all smiles! There was a wedding ceremony going on when we arrived. So we quietly took the trail around to the west side where we could still get amazing views. Since it was my first time meeting Sara and Micah, I took some time getting to know them. They met when they were 14 years old and began dating after college. (Don’t you love how fate brings things around again sometimes?). We headed back to the ceremony deck and found it was empty. Well, of everyone accept the chipmunks!

After some gorgeous pictures at the top of the mountain, we headed down to the lake. Sitting at roughly 9000ft, the reservoir has an unbeatable backdrop (especially during sunset!). It was a little windy, but Sara and Micah braved the waves and we ended the session on the dock. With the amazing Colorado sky showing off behind them.
