Because of the mountains, of course! And because you’re coming to the Rocky Mountains for your wedding, you want those beautiful purple mountain majesties in your photos, right?! Of course, you do! That’s why I’m always shocked when couples tell me they are attracted to my work because I don’t “blur” out the mountains. And my first thought is always, “why would I do that?”. Jared and Abigail wanted to showcase the mountains during their winter wedding in Vail, Colorado.
Anyone who comes to Colorado knows how special it is. I grew up knowing that I lived in a unique place. School trips to the mountains, family picnics next to the river, four-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking and all within an hour of our home. The mountains have had a part in my whole life. I look at them every day. It’s where I feel most at peace. (They also tell me which way is west lol!). The mountains for me aren’t just an amazing backdrop – it’s home.
You’ll still get those detail and up-close photos, but you’re gonna get some AMAZING Colorado landscape photos too – that, I can promise!
Jared and Abigail wanted just that. They planned their December elopement in the Colorado mountains at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Avon, CO. Their 12 guests enjoyed a quaint ceremony on the balcony before heading to a private cabin for a warm meal and drinks. It was truly an honor to be brought into their families for the day and to be able to photograph their special time in the Colorado mountains.

In the meantime, you can take in the scenery from Jared and Abigail’s wedding day below 🙂
With love,
