So it was only natural that they incorporate it into their engagement photos! This fly fishing engagement session was so much fun and such a unique way to add personality to their photos. Since it was April, all the mountain locations for fishing were frozen solid. After some hardcore location scouting, we decided to keep things close to the city where we could access open water. A lack of snow and a warm winter meant local streams and creeks were still flowing. I knew the local greenbelt had some rushing winter waters that we could all get into easily and still have a great location for non-fly fishing themed photos. Waders strapped on, Sarah and Zach ventured out into the cold creek, but the chilly water didn’t stop them from fully experiencing this moment. It’s always fun for me when a couple pushes me outside of my comfort zone to do something new.
As the sun began to set on the greenbelt, we wandered the snow powdered fields and captured some of the most beautiful late winter light you can imagine! The warm golden glow shined on these two as they shared their love for each other during their session. It was a perfect session from beginning to end!
Be on the look out for Sarah and Zach’s wedding blog post (and yes, the fly fishing theme was also included on their wedding day!). In the meantime, check out my favorites from the fly fishing engagement session!
With love,
Soleil
