Steamboat Mountaintop Wedding

Danielle and Greg had a gorgeous Steamboat Mountaintop Wedding at the Four Points Lodge. Only accessible via gondola or shuttle, this unique Steamboat Springs venue serves skiers and snowboarders during the winter. It also hosts amazing weddings during the “off” season!

Danielle and Greg met in Steamboat Springs. So, coming back to celebrate their wedding day was an extra special way of paying homage to the town that brought them together. And what better venue to show off the town they met in then one that looks over the entire valley!

Surrounded by family and friends who traveled to their Steamboat Mountaintop Wedding.

The couple shared their vows during an outdoor ceremony in the sun. Since you are on the top of the mountain, there is little shade or trees. Danielle and Greg braved a rock slope in their fancy duds for some gorgeous photos amongst the yellowing aspens.

Following cocktail hour, we were treated to an amazing Steamboat Springs sunset before having dinner. The couple and their guests danced and partied the night away on the mountaintop. Four Points Lodge is so secluded from the hustle and bustle of the ski town life that it almost feels exclusive.

If you are planning a mountaintop wedding in Steamboat Springs (or somewhere else in Colorado) my biggest tip is to make sure your guests are drinking water! Of course you want to party and you should, but chase that shot with a glass of H20. And be prepared for some guests who aren’t used to altitude to possible get sick. It’s not fun to think about, but altitude sickness is a real thing and it’s something to take into consideration when planning a mountaintop wedding. You want the best experience for you and your guests!
