“You look like my future ex-boyfriend”.

That’s the first thing Amanda said to Kevin. Little did she know he would actually become her husband and the father of their adorable baby girl. Amanda and Kevin self-solemnized at the Flagstaff Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, CO as soon as they found out they were pregnant.

In Colorado, any couple can self-solemnize. All you need to do is take a short trip to the courthouse to get your marriage license and tell them you’re marrying yourselves. You can even use your pet’s paw print as the witness!

On their two year anniversary, Amanda and Kevin decided to have their friends and family join them at Flagstaff Sunrise Amphitheater to renew their vows. They resited the same vows as before but making a new promise to each other – to cherish what they had already created together – their daughter. After the ceremony, Amanda and Kevin wanted to travel to the place they believe is the most beautiful place in Colorado. Lost Gulch Lookout is just up the road from the amphitheater and a popular sunset-watching location. It has a gorgeous view of the rolling foothills into the high peaks of the Rockies.

After some amazing photos, we headed to their laid-back reception at the Boulder Beer Company. The band (and the beer) kept the guests dancing all night long! Check out some of my favorites photos from their day below 🙂
